Credits (or coins) is one of the main currencies used in Habbo. Credits are used to buy furniture, membership for Habbo Club, and other things. They can be purchased using a variety of different services, such as credit card, a telephone service and via SMS. Credits are often given out as prizes for competitions held in the community. The number of credits is shown in the top-right hand side of your screen. Credits can also be redeemed into Habbo Exchange (with a transaction fee, or "tax", of one coin), which displays the credits as an actual item of furni. It can then be traded among users, and redeemed back into credits.

Use[edit | edit source]

Credits are often highly demanded. Unlike other games, Habbo.com suffers from a shortage of credits. As receiving or buying credits is the only legal means of getting it, many Habbos strive to get credits while trading. There are many "1c" shops which sell furni for just one credit, with the intention of attracting buyers.

Tax[edit | edit source]

See main article: Habbo_Exchange_Tax.

For awhile, credits could be converted for free into their furni counter-part. However, likely to act as a Gold Sink, all credit furni was raised by 1 credit to purchase.

Free Credits[edit | edit source]

Free Credits simply do not exist in most situations. There are no cheat codes or special promotion codes. Never trust "Free credit" software. However, you may obtain credits after filling out special surveys or by doing special tasks through the official 'Earn Credits' system here. It was also shown as possible to get a Credit reward using the Watch & Earn feature.

Coin Purse[edit | edit source]

When Habbo first started, credits were held in the coin purse. Like the big hand, the coin purse was replaced. It was removed from the hotel around 2008 and since then, the number of credits a player has is persistently shown on the game's UI.
